I'm a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the European Southern Observatory in Garching, Germany. I use observations of circumgalactic gas and the interstellar medium to constrain the kinematics and structure of gas flows, understand the radiation fields that set the state of that gas, and investigate how galactic-scale feedback mechanisms shape galaxies. I'm interested in the connection between galactic gas and star formation, and more broadly, understanding the processes that drive galaxy evolution across cosmic time. I also love exploring the ways data visualization can be used to facilitate scientific insight and communication as astronomy enters the era of big data.
